  1. My guess is you have galena on chalcopyrite. The goldish color would be chalcopyrite and the blue-gray is the galena.Just a guess. You can do a streak test to verify. http://geology.csupomona.edu/mineral/streak.htm http://www.mindat.org/min-955.html http://www.mindat.org/min-1641.html
  2. I used to run slow too. I deleted my history, defragged and cleaned up my disk. Runs much faster and smoother. This computer is almost 9 years old now and still runs great. Absolutely no need to get another one.
  3. A lot of the gold found has been in Baja. Safer then most of the country but still not safe enough for me...
  4. Sounds like a great deal. Im in the market for a good coin detector. Morlock
  5. Great looking agate. Can't find that in-situ in my state. Found mostly along the riverbanks in some areas.
  6. I agree. Proper sampling is the most critical part of this process. Bad sampling = unreliable results across the board. Once you get past that issue, the others will be even harder...
  7. OH NO!!!!!! Another reality TV show.... As if there aren't enough already....
  8. Looks like they may have kept it from spreading to the main part of downtown. Still and huge, sad loss anyway you look at it.
  9. I believe there are other methods of recovering gold from sulfide deposits. I'm sure someone else will chime in with more details. You will need to send samples out for assaying but just not sure where.
  10. I woke up this morning to headlines - "19 Firefighters Killed". Little did I know they were fighting the Yarnell fire. Am stunned since I spent quite a bit of time there. My prayers to the families. Very sad. Stay safe out there guys.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. what's the cheapest way to buy silver. So many of these websites add tons of fees, etc.
  12. I though Iridium went bankrupt years ago, only to never recover.
  13. Add jaguars to the list.. http://news.yahoo.com/photos-show-rare-jaguar-roams-ariz-mountains-164000197.html
  14. I can't imagine a blade traveling far even if one did fall off. I wouldn't want to be underneath one if it did fail but wouldn't fear being around them.
  15. All the picture shows is a small outcropping along with some colorful rocks. They look like rocks from a lot of areas in arizona. The pictures don't show any petrified wood. Also,I get the impression she thinks the main photo is an impact crater.... But if someone has time, wouldn't hurt to check it out.
  16. It sounds legit but I don't think she knows what she's talking about. You never know....
  17. What are they offering for a real photo of woody woodpecker?
  18. Stay sober and have some cake.
  19. Has anyone tried these headphones? Great copy but you all know the old saying- "If it's too good to be true, it usually is" http://www.airheadzwireless.com/
  20. Jerry, Short of having to go to a mineral show, the best place to get a specimen is online through the many dealers. I brought a specimen directly from Tasmania years ago but it arrived a little damaged in spite of being packed in soap powder. Was still happy with it though. They did send me a partial refund. It came from the very same mine where these were found.
