  1. I went prospecting starting on 7/12/2014. I went to the club claim I find most bigger gold at. It took 3 days to find the first picker using my Diablo umax. I found a second one the following day. I found no other but on sunday the 20th, day 9 of my trip. I ran to town to purchase additional supplied and 100 ft length of 12 gauge electrical extension. I set up an electric leaf blower and my gold exorcist to see how i would do with that. The first day I ran about 6 buckets of dirt that had first been shoveled through a 1/4 screen that sits on a 5 gallon pail but works like the grizzly on top of most drywashers. After running the 6 pails I was kind of pumped to see that I had some decent pieces of gold so I loaded 3 more buckets but this time I screened them down to 1/8. But with temps in the 100,s decided to wait till the next day to run them. I did so first thing in th morning and panned them out to see if I was still doing ok. I was able tyo again load 3 more buckets and run and them also that day. I also was able to set up 3 buckets for tuesday and ran them first thing in the morning. After running them I I loaded 3 more buckets than went and made breakfast and was watching a movie when the generator quit. I figured it was either low on gas or oil but could not start no matter what I did. On wedneday morning I . Tried to dry pan one bucket but after panning it I had o gold so gave up on it . On thursday a fellow club member had come to the claim an on his way out he stopped by to speak. I told him what had happened and that I had 2 buckets left to dry wash. He set up His keene 151 and we ran it but I found NO gold in it. This leaves me puzzled. Now remember that all my material is screened down to < 1/8 witch may mean my gold was getting blown out. I have not found anything in the tailing piles after with my diablo. When I came home today I found the fix for the generator. seems that on low mileage ones the low oil switch can stick on. I disconnected it and it started right up. Only wish i knew that before. No This is what happened to me. Please do not take it as any claim or contentions on any one or any thing else.
  2. I am not saying that a goldbug pro is a gb 2 but I did see them show up with 2 vials that had a lot of small pieces of gold and he wa using a grarret machine and she was using a modified gb pro... So the question is still who is upgrading them if anybody here knows and whats it cost...
  3. I hear that they have an upgrade but I haven't hear who is doing it. Wondering if anybody knows the who and how to contact them...
  4. Basically, the copper is not magnet but the movement of the magnet past the copper atoms of the copper tube create a current and that creates a field, and all fields are magnetic.... SO here is the question...If blowing air creates static electricty. Thdn there would have to be a field someplace. And the gold ppassing through the field then should be getting a currect of some amout. And the particle of gold would then have to have some magnetic property at that point. Just ike the copper tube. It does NOT matter if the magnet moves or the tube move. And It does Not matter if the field /magnet is a magnet of a wire with an electric charge in it. All that is neccessary is that there is a pontential. But static electricty can actually be very high in voltage even if it has a very low amperage.
  5. So seeing that video. I present the question, that if a current of some kind can pass through gold it then will display some magnet properties ?
  6. Ok, guys I ave a first question the we shall explore the original statment here..... IS copper magnet ????
  7. How does that work in places where the property owner has NO mineral rights ??
  8. You can do a search on dry ice. Which is just carbon dioxide. As it sublimates it will just displace the oxygen in the tunnel and kill the moles or gophers. They suggest you put it into every tunnel opening you can find and then pack or cover the opening with dirt to help hold the carbon dioxide in. It is belived that carbon dixoide is what killed every first born in the time of the Pharo/ and Moses in the bible. Because it was a popular habit that the lowest bed went to the eldest child. But You will not be usung enough to have any real impact on your. family If your just packing it into some mole/goper holes. Co2 is heavy and tends to stay low....
  9. for the guys whom use leaf blowers on their dry washers. What do you do to make it stay in one place. Not sure if I am going to try mounting it to a bucket or plastic tun top , or mount it on a stand made from pvc.
  10. Went sopping and got carb cleaner and brought back my tools from the trailer to work on the weed eater.... It is now running ok. I took the carb apart and cleaned it and then made adjustments to the high and low needles...
  11. Bolder dash.. I'm confused by the statement your posting ??? Is the fact that I am posting somethinng that I am doing Upsetting You. I am only stating that for $200 I get to try out a tool that some love and others do not. Whats funny is that the guy I was talking to today in the mining shop said the location I hunt id played out... Theres no gold there... He did have very nice pieces he recover that he had on display at he shop . Buy it was all much larger that the normal finds I have... But for me I'm happy making some number of grains a day....I said grains not grams.... The photo above was what I was finding about 2 years ago and I had to go to NY to care for my mom... But I am positive that both the pile of dirt I was working is both there and unworked.. The pan was 1 of several I would get on a trip. It consisted or just the minus 20 and plus 100 material from my original drywasher. And I would average running 8-12 (5 gal) buckets of <1/8 material a day in my drywasher. That would give me abount 1 and a half gallons of material to pan. Earlier this month I was talking to a guy whom was a member of the 49's club that has an adjacent claim in the same area. He also uses an exorcist. I am ot saying that the exorcist ir great..good or anything... I am just stating what I am planning on using it for an why. I am not saying your opinion is wrong ....nor did I even imply that. So I'm not sure why your answer seems so vehement towards MY PLAN, The exorcist has a few features that seem to be able to work for me. and for $200 I am going to try it out. It came with a weedeater fl1500i which seems to need a little work. Not beyond my abilities.
  12. I wonder if anybody else runs their dry washer by running a set number of buckets and seeing how much they get in an area ? Or a set time and comparing the results to determine where to work it ?
  13. The other day I got a lead on a gold exorcist. Now I know there is a lot of pro and con on this machine... But here is the plan.... My club has 2 gold claims...1 is a bit better in hat there is a lot more visible gold there. I have over the last few months been posting photos from the finds there. But that claim suffers from being further away from the main road. And while you do not need a 4 wheel drive. It is now neccessarily an easy location to get to or is the digging easy. The second location has a lot of very fine gold ,is east to get to and is quite a bit closer to the main road. I have a lead on a exorcist and blower and hose for $200. My plan is to use the 1/8 screen I have that I can shovel in to buckets and fill 10 buckets and then run them to see how I do. Hoping that the Exorcist does as well as The puffer I was using before the ole yeller, but gives me less material to pan.. This is a photo of my typical pan i'd have after screening out the plus 20 material.
  14. The biggest problem is that The ole yeller I have tends to run too slow. Unless I am incorrect in that overloading the riffels is bad... I have a second drwasher that I made aa long time ago but I need to replace the bellow cloth. Biggest problem is that trying to get a machine to properly load and run with out needing constant adjustment. They tend to either have the dirt load too fast and just block all the riffels and then you dont see any puffing... or the feed blocks and they run bare.... I try to only run under 1/4 inch usually. BUt my club has 2 claims....and the second claim you can basically screen it to minus 1/8 first. I know I have gotten decent gold but had to run at least 20-30 buckets of screened material. If I can get the drywasher to run more consistantly feed wise It will allow me to run more. I think the first thing will be to reedsign the upper hopper and its feed system a little..and change the bars that hold that hopper up to be a little more adjustable.....
  15. Wondering if anybody could give accurate answers to my question here... Assuming that the ground is dry and we are working a few different machines.... How much dirt an hour can a drywasher actually process.... Do not coonsider the large keene because its beyone that of one person to really move around easily and run... Thing or maybe the keene electric, or the gold buddy pony or even the ole yeller.. I am looking if any one if actually faster. My biggest problem is that I'm using an ole yeller but the feed seems a bit slow. Not sure if the keene electric is any faster. or if the gold buddy pony would be any faster. I'd really like a unit that I could load a lot into and let run for a bit...
  16. Sorry this took so long here is a photo... Last night i got best gold with it and that got me a silver quarter and a silver dime for having a display.... wish I could have spent more time there Ionly was in that area for a week .
  17. I got out last Wednesday to hunt some more for the yellow stuff. I did not dig as much as I would have liked and only got 3 buckets of dirt from the spot I been working on. I did not find any where as much gold as I would have liked. I got 2 nice piece that would be large micro nuggets and on Monday I was playing with the diablo umax a bit and got a third micro nugget out of a very worn down tailing pile. Have not yet decided to send it in even though the hot rock adjustment knob has broke since I can still find stuff.hope to upload a photo tomorrow.
  18. hey frank how about including a coin in the photo for perspective. Nice finds either way.
  19. Just wondering what the smallest sizedtargets you have found with your minelab. which machine and which coil..? I often see people use the term small bits and wonder why nobody seem to use grains. After all there are 28 grams to an ounce. 488 grains to an ounce so 1 gram would be about 17 grains.
  20. i am bit concerned that the spot I am in a tight and a small coil might just fit better between the rocks and stuff.... Is all. Frank...
  21. out of curiosity what would you use to smash up material that is clumpy. Besides the obvious of hitting it with my sledge....I'm thinking maybe finding something like a piece of an ibeam to pu the small clods on then break them up to put in my bucket... Lots of the dirt i dig is almost a sandstone clump....
  22. Or some others came and said..Look old timers had stacked these rocksand i'm sure there are some nuggets they missed.so the tore through your wall and detecteds it and found nada and thats how they left it all....
  23. I've just received a minelab sd2200d and was wondering if you can point me to any specific writings on the 2200 and using it tip wise....?
