Here is a current map showing existing cases. Much of rural America may have missed the initial hit from this virus but it is slowly spreading to all corners of the US. I used to do a lot of hunting in MN and came across some of old cemeteries and the year 1918 was on a lot of grave markers. I don't know the gory details about the spread of the Spanish flu but I know it started in 1917. As with this virus, it probably took some time for it to reach many of the rural areas. The moral is, don't become complacent. The more we learn about this virus, the more contagious and dangerous it becomes.

The Current Virus and the Spanish Flu are incomparable.  Thank the Creator or who ever you talk to this one is nothing like it.

  2. With numbers of sick folks like above you would think the hospitals would be teaming with activity and attention.  Seen a article the other day they were packing up the MASH hospital and removing it.

Guess Licking your fingers while pushing a shopping cart would not  be a good Idea.

  3. We have a half dozen coming to the bird feeding station here. They enjoy the corn. Will be keeping a eye on the situation. Thank You for the heads up. Yea a few years back just about every critter on 4 legs got wiped out by the systemic plague I think. One ol boy in cruses caught it and died if memory is still functional.

Really hope we get the pass on that stuff here.  Yea happens every few years or so.  Plumb wipes the all out.  Takes a few years before they get the numbers back up but they do.

Nice looking rig ! I have busted my head and other parts  on several very similar rigs, most notably when a bumble bee flew up my sleeve at much less that 24MPH  .

Yes Sir.   I don't bounce worth a chit these days.

6V lights? Wow! I thought those all disappeared with the dinosaurs. I'm sure you'll figure out how to get around that.

24 mph is a decent speed off road. I rarely go that fast on the trails around here.

Yea my Go Faster days are long past.

  6. My legs won't do the thing on longer walks anymore.  Needed a Ars Cart.  Ordered a MASSIMO MOTOR MB200 MINI BIKE .  Pretty much the same as the Coleman.

Still breaking it in.  The kid is driving the chit out of it right now.  When he has it broken in I'll bypass the governor and add a few bits and bobs for added emph.  Probably a Comet Torque converter set.

Hoots of fun and nice and quiet.  As is only does like 24MPH but no issues climbing fairly steep hills.  Looking for luggage rack for the thing.  Lighting sucks.  Need to modify it to charge a battery.  6v coming off the magneto.  Light go dark at Idle.  LOL  UnCool.   Will add a boost converter charging a LiFePo4 battery pack.  Problems solved.  What looks like the fuel tank is just a glove box.  Room for a few tools and the battery.

About 95 lbs dry without the oil filter and hoses, Ready to fly weight is probably 105-ish.

Cool Beans.   You going to meet FAR 103 ?  Close enough for government work ?  Wiegh  it in missing a Tire ?  LOL

  9. I'd love one of those. Easy enough to load up in the P.U. and get me around quit well it would.  Think the Tractor Supply store here in town sell those from time to time.  I've looked them over a few times.  Not sure it's the same ones.   May just end up with one some day.   You did dang good on that price.

If the surface was 'skin-like', I would tend to agree.

If you were to take a hazelnut and wrap it in one layer of gold leaf, would that be detectable?

    I don't know, that's my question.

I do know that a bunch of tiny nuggets placed close together, do not act like a bigger target.  Unless of course they are 'electrically' touching each other.

The way I read the description was that the latex made a matrix that the gold particles were suspended in and there were even some air bubbles trapped.

Based on that description, it seems unlikely to me that all the gold particles would be touching each other.

Either way, it doesn't matter to me.  It is interesting though.

Why don't one of you guys buy one of these 'nuggets' so we can run some tests?  :)

Small Gold Chains are all but NON Detectable.   I think it may be that the individual links Cancel the currents of the adjacent one.   Or like a closed Circuit the Ring nulls the eddy currents.  A wrapped object would be a different critter I think.  Gold Leaf is cheap enough .  Try it.  https://www.ebay.com/p/2181105555?iid=163386871701&chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=163386871701&targetid=474173370709&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9030452&poi=&campaignid=6469981107&mkgroupid=79220281122&rlsatarget=aud-412677883135:pla-474173370709&abcId=1141176&merchantid=135981701&gclid=CjwKCAiApOvwBRBUEiwAcZGdGB70ARii1Cysvah0Z6SKOPZGXy3nzv-kJH5zN6OQ2iF7A2tuoJ1v1hoCbhMQAvD_BwE

I'm not sure it can be detected.  Does your detector find 'nano particles'?

The way the 'nugget' is assembled leaves me believing that the gold particles are not all touching each other.  Like an extreme version of 'sponge gold'.

It might be invisible to detectors.  Maybe, the Falcon could hear it.  Maybe....

I suspect the Eddy Current of the surface would be detectable.  As Gold.
