  1. I am a complete novice who's interested in cutting my first meteorite (iron Gibeon). This thread has been the best info I've yet seen on the subject. If anybody has any pointers to other primers on the subject I would love to see them. Some questions: 1. By drop saw, does that mean something like my DeWalt compound miter saw? I assume not since it's not water cooled. Can someone tell me an exact model of saw that would be appropriate? Is it the kind of tile cutting saw that I might be able to rent? My meteorite is about the size of my fist. 2. I don't plan on making numerous thin slices, just want to open a surface to reveal the interior pattern. Once I'm using the right saw and blade, how long exactly should I expect the cut to take? 3. Any real-world tips on anchoring the meteorite during cutting so that it doesn't move and ruin the cut? Thanks all in advance for any help.
