  1. Sounds good Bob, email John or I to get on the list. I know John is ready to go just about any time but we need to hear from anyone else interested so we can pick a date that works for everyone. How's your Spanish? mine sucks  We may need an interpreter. Later...Jim P. Ps. If anyone want's to try drywashing the area we are open to that as well.
  2. Hi Jim, sorry to hear about your disapointment. Do me a favor and shoot me the Township, range and sections so I can verify that the claims are valid and current. "A stake in the ground, a claim doesn't make" or something like that. japdep@aol.com Goodluck on your ventures into lesser known areas. Thanks. Later...Jim P.
  3. Hi all, John B. has offered a potential new nugget area down near the border that needs to be checked out. We will need at least 4 members to make the trip. Because of potential hazards including illegal alien traffic, we request that you be armed when in this area and don't go alone. I'm not trying to scare anyone, just telling it like it is. If we have no one volunteer, I will assume that the club is not interested. I have checked land status and it is National Forest, open to mineral entry, and no claims are present. I will double check at the BLM for new files before we send our group down there. John is making sure we have reasonable access. We need to do this within a couple weeks or it will be too hot, and we'll have to waite until next Fall. John will be the main contact for this project. His # is 520-325-8585 Email is goldmaster@cox.net. Please let one of us know as soon as possible if you are interested so we can get this done. As always, if you have questions feel free to write japdep@aol.com or call 602-882-8473 after 8am. This is the first of many opportunities to check new areas. If you can't make this one, keep an eye out for the next one, it might be in your back yard. Thanks. Later...Jim P.
  4. Welcome Joe, glad to have you here. Later...Jim P.
  5. Welcome aboard, glad to have you. Later...Jim P.
  6. Hi all, I want to thank everyone who has offered to help me with claims and potential areas. I'd like to request that members use my email japdep@aol.com instead of the forum PM. It makes it easier for me to save and keep track of and it's easier to reply that way. You can also call 602-882-8473 after 8am if you simply have questions or suggestions. I think my head is going to explode with all the new info I'm trying to absorb, but it's fun and I think I'll have a working system soon. Thanks agin. Later...Jim P.
  7. Welcome to the club Kevin, glad you joined. Later...Jim P.
  8. Welcome aboard Rob, good to have you. Later...Jim P.
  9. Welcome Chris, glad to have you. Hope you and Joe are pulling out some nice gold as I write this. By the way, I'm the claims director and I'll expect a full report :poke: Later...Jim P.
  10. Thanks again Bob :yourock: Hope Stupid is doing better. Hate to see that kinda thing happen. Luckily my two dogs are afraid of everything :outtahere: so I think they are safe.Later...Jim P.

  12. Hi Bill and all. I usually stay out of this sort of discussion because I try to deal with people as I want to be dealt with. I stand up for myself and don't expect others to do it for me. I'm making an exception in this case because Rob is not able to answer these posts. But first I'd like to make a suggestion as to how to handle this sort of situation. How about we put the applicant up for discussion instead of a vote. Kind of a "speak now or forever hold your peace" sort of thing. If someone is going to get voted down we need to discuss it anyway. I'd be concerned about discrimination accusations if we don't have some sort of discussion. Just my opinion. Now about Rob. I know Rob well and consider him a good friend. I should also say that I consider Bill Southern a friend and in no way question his intent or integrity. It should be no surprise to anyone that I would vote yes to letting Rob in. I've known Rob for over 7 years and had business as well as personal dealings with him. In all that time I have never known him to be dishonest. The absolute worst thing I can say about Rob is that he's immature for his age at times. He is also very competitive, which rubs some people the wrong way. He is also very concerned with people's opinion of him although he'd never admit it. I feel bad for Bill because he's obviously concerned about the club and keeping it non political and honorable. I also feel bad for Rob because I think his reputation is undeserved. If I believed all the BS I heard about everyone involved in prospecting I wouldn't even talk to myself. It has always puzzled me why people feel the need to knock someone else, especially someone they have never met. Ok, I think Iv' e said my peace. All I have left to say is that I believe this is a very good and healthy thing we are doing here. This is a great club. Later...Jim P.

  14. My phone will be on just in case someone can't wait to tell me about a hot new claim :poke: Have a good weekend. Later...Jim P.
  15. Great Idea Martin. I'd like to also suggest that we consider extending it to the children of deployed service men and women. Great idea in any case. Roger, again, my thanks to you and your son for you sacrifice. Later...Jim P.
  16. Hi Bob, I'm gonna double check with Bill on this because after reading Denny's post I may have been wrong. :hmmmmmm: Like we talked about, having them claim the areas and leasing them to the club is a good option. One advantage to you partners claiming the ground is their names might not be on the "radar" so to speak, and might be missed by those looking for claims to pillage. :ph34r2: No matter what you decide, thanks for the offer. Later...Jim P.
  17. Welcome to the madness Blake (You share the same name with my youngest son by the way) Glad to have you. Later...Jim P.
  18. Hi all. Well, we did it. We got this club off the ground. Now it's time to put the club philosophy to the test. We need members with claims or members ready to claim open areas to step forward. The club offers a free membership for members leasing claims to the club. We will keep the claim current and file assessments, exemption or notice of intent and pay all fees. Plus you will have the adoration of the entire club  With over 50 current members I expect to be so overwhelmed with responses that I have to hollar for help :zapped: Here is the claim form for you to check out, WSPAClaimAccessmentForm_1.doc Here is the current lease agreement.Mine_Lease_blank_PDF.PDF or email me for a copy if you can't download it. japdep@aol.com I'm very much winging it right now so bear with me. I will try to gt these forms done in an online fill in PDF but for now just download and print or email the filled out form. Again my email japdep@aol.com Later...Jim P.

  20. Welcome aboard! glad to have you. Later...Jim P.
  21. Thanks Dakota, I may take you up on your offer. Shoot me an Email japdep@aol.com so I have your email. Congrats on the nice nugget you got at the 24K. Later...Jim P.
  22. Will do Bob, and a big Thanks! to you for offering. I was going to ask but you beat me to it. :smilie_help: Later...Jim P.
  23. Thanks 29 and Martin, yes I was at the GB outing. I came in late Friday night. I walked around shaking hands but my memory isn't the best either. It's hard to forget 29 with his big personality, and I believe Martin, you were sitting talking with Denny about California gold and treasure. Didn't I drink one of your Ales? Thanks again. Please use my email japdep@aol.com or call me 602 882 8473 if you have areas you feel we need to look at. Being in California will definitely make it easier for you two to file paperwork and field check areas for us. I know California has a reputation for being hard to deal with but in my Internet research so far it appears to be pretty straight forward. I guess it's when you want to file a plan of operation for dredging that it gets complicated. The national Forests may be a little more difficult but as long as we are only detecting we should be OK. Thanks for the support. Later...Jim P.
  24. Hi Chuck and all, thanks for the offer. See the pinned topic on top of the forum for my contact info. Bill twisted my arm into taking on the claims development. :innocent0009: You can do plenty from you computer, and even more on the phone or making a trip to the local BLM or county recorders. I live in Arizona and will need help researching, checking out and filing claims in other states, as well as Arizona. Thanks again. Later...Jim P.
  25. BLM LR2000 open houses There are open houses coming in Arizona, Idaho and Utah. Here's the flier for Arizona. Later...Jim P. Open_House_AZSO_Mar2007_flier.pdf
