  1. Birthday suits are fine, just don't post pics Happy birthday
  2. Hi Mike, this appears to be data that requires an additional program to generate the spread sheet. Can you tell us the name of the program you use or is this a spread sheet you made? I was able to download it this time but in raw data format and unable to convert to something legible. Patrick
  3. Mike, It may help to rename the file and add (.xls) to the end so it has association to excel for example "gold test.xls" Hope this helps Patrick
  4. Thanks Rick, states that allow carry usually cover the same restrictions. I'll check with the state of AZ to see if they will honor Louisiana carry permits. I've always carried a shot gun in my travel trailer, you never know what kind of wacko you might meet out there while traveling.
  5. What are the gun laws in AZ pertaining to carrying unconcealed on state land? or if your a non resident of that state, do they honor other states carry permits?
  6. azdigger, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Patrick
  7. Ron, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Patrick
  8. Thanks for the info frankie, I've done a lot of research since I move to Louisiana and unfortunately the state has a tight grip on where a person can metal detect. No state parks, no known battle fields and getting permission to detect on private property is pretty tough. I'll look for the book and see if it can give me some new places to check out. The info is much appreciated. Patrick
  9. Nice find Ron. Is that a rattle snake tail sitting in front of it?
  10. Thanks for the welcome Frankie. The beach is the next best thing when looking for treasure if you don't have a mountain full of gold near by, unfortunately there are no good beaches for me but I do make it to the rivers and lakes often(mostly fishing lures and sinkers) :grrr01: grubstake, it is my initials but I have fond memories of perforated steel plate, the parking lot at the range on the Seal Beach weapons station was covered with it. My dad would take me there to recover lead to make his sinkers. My real first treasure.
  11. Thanks for the welcome. I know I will learn a lot and some things I will have to learn on my own but I look forward to the challenges.
  12. Well folks, I was taught to introduce myself when I meet new people. So here it goes, my name is Patrick and I’m originally from Cali and spent my childhood there, Oregon and Nevada. As such I became obsessed with finding cold, whether it was panning or digging it was embedded in my blood. But somehow its 27 years later and I’m stuck in the south east and far from where I want to be. I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately and realize how much this activity has changed and I’m currently working on a way to get back into my passion, looking for gold. Having spent the last 25 yrs in the south east my treasure seeking has been limited to MDing beaches and parks looking for coins and relics. I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of reading here and maybe asking questions if that’s ok. Well I guess that’s all for now. Thanks for reading my post and I looking forward to talking to you all, I’m sure I will learn a lot. Patrick
