  1. Another word of warning here, I'm about to walk out the door for work and really don't have time to post this but all 3 of you are off topic and again in violation of forum rules of posting political content and also on a smaller scale person attacks! The subject matter here is Covid 19 info, NOT political campaigning, political criticism, or analysis, all of which fall under "political content", refrain from posting any more of this banter/content this please!!

  2. I made this 12v 35Ah (420Wh) portable power battery with left over parts, but you can do it for $100 to $150 (or more) depending on options you want, such as solar charging, vehicle charging vs. 120v charging, adding a 120v power inverter, etc.The battery is based on a low cost 12v 35Ah deep cycle gel cell made for mobility scooters and trolling motors like these:Mighty Max Battery ML35-12 - 12V 35AH U1 Deep Cycle AGM Solar Battery Replaces 33Ah, 34Ah, 36Ah Brand Product

  3. There is a lot of great information to be found here, thank you to members who have made the effort to research the subject and provided information to help others. Community.... Yep, regardless of the many disparate ideas and opinions posted everyone seems to be truly operating from an honest viewpoint. Kind of like a large family with vastly different personalities, education and life experience..... Sometimes keeping the chatter apolitical is a challenge but it seems to be working with a little help from the moderators. Thank you moderators, yours is a challenging task indeed!

  5. The county I live in has been “virus free” ,according to testing ,up until today. They just announced our first case. I am one of the few people that I see wearing a mask in public here. Many people blatantly ignore the 6’ social distance rule. The people trying to slow the spread and take it seriously seem to be the minority here.

  6. That is an excellent project with very apparent good workmanship . I have had 2 accidents ( both of which could have been fatal) attempting to use power directly from my vehicle with the hood up. More fuses are a plus.

  7. In the last election partisans turned out in droves. Moderates and anti partisans stayed home in droves. We got what we voted for. The loser of the popular vote. That is because we disliked both candidates and voted against the one we hated most (if we voted at all) The one we hated most lost. And the biggest looser became the winner. We set ourselves up for it by only allowing partisans to win a primary in a country that desperately needs (and wants) an end to partisanship. The voice of the people was not heard. Only the voice of the partisans. The rest of us got the stick. A

  8. Yes the Electoral College had a winner. But you're wrong about who the 65 million people voted for. The winner of the election only got 62,984,828 votes. The loser, had almost 3 million more with 65,853,514 Just under 60% of the eligible voting population cast a vote in 2016. Over 40% did not vote. Using simple math, less than 30% of the voting population supported the winner.

  9. My voice and the voices of over 65 million others were heard Bob, and the Electoral College had a decisive winner. Some people can't seem to get over that and there is a name for that syndrome. Everybody has an opinion. Your's carries as much weight as anybody else's. Maybe you should run. I'm sure you would get at least 2 or 3 votes. In any case, America does have a leader. As has been said, you can lead, follow or get out of the way. I'm sorry but since the leader role has been awarded that leaves you 2 choices.

With Covid and isolation the honey do list all of a sudden grew...form painting my daughters room to replacing the flooring, replacing hot water heater, to need to paint my house, replace composite roofing and so on. I did take a brief time out and dusted off my ML 4500 and hit some old patches with the intention of slowing my swing that a snail could beat me in a race. I cranked the detector on , backpack on, and started working a dirt road near a seasonal stream I worked before and found some nice pieces..I got a nice soft deep sound almost could be mistaken as ground noise form the iron min

  15. I am glad you’re safe! I always (now) try to wear goggles whenever I am messing around with my batteries under the hood, yes due to other accidents I’ve also had, like the time I hooked up a 12v charger set on fast charge to a 6v tractor battery... ever see a mini acid geyser? Doh!! I totally agree about fuses and circuit breakers, I went so far as to putting a circuit breaker on my spare truck battery under the hood and ran cables from that to the back of my pickup where I have an fuse protected outlet that recharges this battery. In the photo I took here, there’s a fuse not seen in th

If this is the wrong place to post it or the posting books is not allowed MODS please take it down it is not a violation of US copy rights to post a link to book or even quote it and I pay attention to CR's even though some of the gold prospecting magazines do not. The Forensic Series book 1 " Quick Silver" By Toni D. Wiggins . A fictional story about gold mining in the 3 forks of the Yuba River area. Its available from all the usual book sellers , Amazon , Google Play . KOBO etc. I got mine free from Amazon Kindle unlimited.

  17. “Preliminary data has demonstrated coronavirus killing. The coronavirus resides in human tissues, specifically in the trachea and all the way down into the lungs,” said Disbrow. “It is thought to primarily reside in the upper airway, where if you can kill it early and kill it within the cells while preserving the healthy cells, that would be the golden ticket. The idea is that we would get this down the trachea, where the coronavirus is going to primarily reside, and then you have a chance to improve outcomes by reducing the viral load.” How can you 'kill it early' when the patient

  20. Yeah, Slim.... I ridiculed it. How can the light get everywhere inside your lungs? Think about it. Even the 3-D model shows it just in the larynx. It's like saying, "I'm going to clean the bathroom." And then only mopping the floor on the way to the toilet. Say you actually 'disinfected' the lungs with the light. How do you 'clean' the other organs and tissues? I guess that's why the disinfectant was suggested. (Sarcasm) What would be a 'game changer' is if there was enough testing available like previously 'promised'. Once effective testing measures can be impl

  22. It's amazing that this potential game changer was ridiculed. Not naming any of those who ridiculed it but I'm sure we all heard it. We all heard some speculate that it was worth pursuing as well. The bottom line is when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Let's hope it works for those who's condition degrades to the point that they need a ventilator because as it is, their odds are not good.

  23. The Company is engaging with the research team at Cedars-Sinai and the FDA to determine an expedited regulatory process to potentially enable near-term use of the technology initially as a coronavirus intervention for critically ill intubated patients. Disbrow continued, “This first-in-class technology has the potential to be a game changer for clinicians treating patients infected with coronavirus and other respiratory conditions, and our team is working tirelessly alongside the Cedars-Sinai team to determine the safety and effectiveness of this device in humans.” Interesting

  28. I agree Mike. I think the economic and social impact will be at least as bad as the virus itself. Back in 2009 after the financial crisis I sold all my gold and bought guns and ammo. When that sold I bought some cheap land and developed it. By 2012 I sold everything that had any debt connected with it. I turned all equity into cash. Since 2012 I have been living frugally on what I can make at the local farmers market. I hunt almost every bite of meat that I eat. I trade for most of my bread and grain products. And this year, if things work out, I will buy vegetables from local

  32. Hey Max! Here is my latest swarm. It takes 6 claws to make a scorpion. 2 goatheads for eyes. And barrel cactus thorns for mandibles. They are "grabby" with those legs and will stick to your curtains, hat, sun visor, etc. I have sold over 400 scorpions so far. That makes 2400 stickers collected to make them! I make turkeys, peacocks and roosters out of them too. I first saw them in Mexico years ago and liked the idea so much I started making them to sell. In Texas they call them "cow catchers". They are called devil claw, double claw and unicorn plant

  35. Their voices were not heard. They were given the choice between two partisans. Neither represented the voice of the majority. They still don't. Both were very weak candidates. Neither commanded respect from the majority. Neither do to this day. It seems the partisans refuse to lead, have weak followers and are getting in the way.
