Prospectors Lounge Guidelines

There are just a few rules here and yup I do enforce them and keep an eye on things as best I can. Here are a few guidelines I'd like you to follow if you will be participating here. This forum is not moderated as heavily as the other sections so please do not enter or open a topic if you think you will be offended. If you are at least respond like an adult or we will remove your post as soon as brought to our attention.

Vulgar and abusive language is not welcome here! Heck a cuss word to get a point across is not so bad, but I think you know what I mean.

I will not host public arguments and pissing matches between individuals here so please just don't do it. When it happens the post most times will simply vanish into cyber space.

Political or Religious posts belong in "Off Topic" but surly you can find other forums that host those discussions if it is your thing, I don't think anyone cares if you are Conservative or Liberal when we are out hunting gold nuggets.

You may not use this forum to advertise any other dealer, store, or product without written permission by owner at any time. Used items are allowed in the classified section.

This forum is not responsible for anything said by it's members at any time. This is a public forum and will remain so and although I can and will occasionally zap "bad content" I don't do it often and so far have never permanently banned a person. Also opinions expressed here do not always represent the opinion of the forum's owner!

Guests are welcome to browse the forum and use the information provided by registered members, but you can not post yourself until you are a registered member.

That is pretty much it my fellow Nugget Shooters so enjoy the forum, keep it clean and play nice.

    • Wow. I thought this case was solved and the perp killed himself. THIS is the real killer... UPDATE 03/27/23: DOUBLE HOMICIDE- KINGMAN Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are continuing their investigation into a 2022 double homicide. On June 28, 2022 at 8:15 PM, Deputies responded to a residence in the 9200 block of Dilligaf Rd. for a welfare check where two deceased victims were located. The victims were identified as Darren Vanhouten (50) and Retta Atkins (73). Through preliminary investigations, it was learned that an unknown subject was observed on video surveillance on the property at the time of the incident. Several photographs and video clips form home security system were released in an effort to identify the suspect. On Thursday (3/23), Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Daniel Matthew Avila, 25 of El Mirage, for 2 counts of first-degree homicide. Daniel Avila is currently in custody in Maricopa County for unrelated charges. Detectives learned of Avila when he was arrested in February for a home invasion crime in Tempe, AZ. During that arrest, Avila was in possession of a firearm, that was connected to the murder of Darren Vanhouten and Retta Atkins, using the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) from bullets located at the crime scene. During the homicide incident, the suspect was seen on surveillance with blood on his left shoulder, believed to be a gunshot wound sustained during the homicide. When Avila was contacted by Detectives, scarring consistent with a gunshot wound was observed on his left shoulder area. Detectives are continuing the investigation and requesting information from the public, as Avila is believed to have no known connections to the area or to the victims in this incident of the homicide. Below is an image of the suspect from the victim’s home surveillance system, along with an image of Avila when he was arrested by the Tempe Police Department. Anyone with any information about Daniel Avila is encouraged to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 928-753-0753 ext. 4288.   https://www.facebook.com/MohaveCountySheriffsOffice
    • Oh, my mistake. After reading this again, I realize that you were responding to the origional thread. I apologize for suggesting that you  hijacked the thread...... Are you sure that's a corprolite? It sure does look like a tektite. Anyway, welcome to the forums, KrisK99 Again, my apologies
    • Sorry for the confusion. I was responding to the new member who highjacked this thread with a picture of what appears to be a tektite.   If you say so...
    • All photos I posted are of the same, single rock.
    • No, I found this. Either eastern MN, or western WI. I have had it a while and collect many rocks for hobby and landscaping both. I do residential concrete and am often excavating and keeping rocks/boulders I find.
