I don't see a stream and the water he's using sure is muddy, so It looks like he's "recirculating" the water from a catchment of some sort under the rockerbox.

If you look in the background just above his bucket/can, sure looks like running water?

To me it looks more like a steep change in the land like a shovel or pick cut line in the lay of the land. Could certainly be water as it tails to the left of the picture from the pail. Still think it is a cut in the contour of the land though.

Whatever he is digging ins out of the picture because he would not set up where he would need to turn his wheel barrel around...A picture is worth a thousand words.

Would be cool to go old school in Greaterville and try a rockerbox. Looks to be slow going though, but wonder if it would handle the clay better?
