Go slow then go slower,,, after that go slower still on a detector.. If we are talking sluces then moving as much materal as possible

Eegads! There are dozens of variables and adjustments regarding recovery. But I suppose the #1 key factor is putting gold into you recovery equipment (or under if your talking about detecting). Keep in mind that sometimes 80% recovery can be more profitable than 100% recovery especially in a commercial type opperation.

yep finding it is where it all starts. I yet to try any detecting but looks fun!! but with a high banker and a table feed rate seems to be a big factor as all the other adjustments like water flow angle, classifying and better ground

Classifying for me is #1 but I think it would depend on the size you are willing to put in the work to get it. >100 mesh is my bottom threshold. Feed rate is downstream from classifying. Gold Cube catches the fine stuff if classified. You'll blow out the small stuff if you don't.
