12 VDC Alternator to keep you going.

Recommended Posts

Came across this today.

Now I have a use for that old down shaft lawn mower engine. LOL

This could keep the lights on.

Run the Equipment.

Recharge that truck battery when you sorta left stuff on too long and it won't start! LOL

Yep, Going to be making me one!

Needs a few more Coodiments.

Fuse Block.

Terminal Block.

Maybe a few 15 AMP plugs.

The engine would only weigh like 35lbs.

Hell here you can by a New Briggs for $90.00! Crazy

Looks like it would do a good job, have seen some sort of like it except

run by water wheel in the creek.

Welder

What a lot of folks don.t know is that a 12 volt alternator can be converted into a welder

and also run grinders toasters or any restistive load works great I made one

Yep! You can do Welds with it.

It requires you bypass the Regulator and have other provisions for the Field coil.

Almost the same idea as a Pelton wheel for electrical needs from water. Run many times and best I've ever seen---John

Bypass the Diodes and Regulator, you can run stuff like Drills, Grinders and Saw! Hell you could do all sorts of stuff .

I don't know anything about electricty...so I'm not going to listen to what you'll have to say about this stuff...

if I tried any of it I would just end up with a charred Toyota frame between four melted tires.... :cry2:

I'm betting the two gearheads up above could come up with something better than anything stock...might not be as

pretty but with that behind and coming up fast who cares about pretty anyway...post-300-0-54533300-1322090087_thumb.jpg

So far I came up with a 4hp motor with no carb. I got it to run on Propane by just sticking a tube from the Bottle into the intake port. LOL

50 Amp Alternator.

Still looking for some pulleys and a Frame to mount it on.

Why not just use a pair of jumper cables from your vehicle to charge the battery?

The Alt set up can run all day and night for lighting or what ever.

As a Recovering Plumber, I highly approve of the exhaust system

Solar panels are getting cheaper every day and you don't need to put gas in them.

Sense this post started I've built two.  People keep offering me more for them then I needed them..  I have another 90 Amp Alternator here waiting for another engine to use.  Anything less then 3HP is dodgy.
