Forum Guidelines

There are just a few rules here and yup I do enforce them and keep an eye on things as best I can. Here are a few guidelines I'd like you to follow if you will be participating here. This forum is not moderated as heavily as the other sections so please do not enter or open a topic if you think you will be offended. If you are at least respond like an adult or we will remove your post as soon as brought to our attention.

Vulgar and abusive language is not welcome here! Heck a cuss word to get a point across is not so bad, but I think you know what I mean.

I will not host public arguments and pissing matches between individuals here so please just don't do it. When it happens the post most times will simply vanish into cyber space.

Political or Religious posts belong in "Off Topic" but surly you can find other forums that host those discussions if it is your thing, I don't think anyone cares if you are Conservative or Liberal when we are out hunting gold nuggets.

You may not use this forum to advertise any other dealer, store, or product without written permission by owner at any time. Used items are allowed in the classified section.

This forum is not responsible for anything said by it's members at any time. This is a public forum and will remain so and although I can and will occasionally zap "bad content" I don't do it often and so far have never permanently banned a person. Also opinions expressed here do not always represent the opinion of the forum's owner!

Guests are welcome to browse the forum and use the information provided by registered members, but you can not post yourself until you are a registered member.

That is pretty much it my fellow Nugget Shooters so enjoy the forum, keep it clean and play nice.

    • Dave, Easy Stuff.  You simply wire one wire to the neg.  Next wire to the first cells Pos, Next wire to the Next cells Pos Next wire to the Next cells Pos.  Until all cells are wired.  Two wires from the BMS  (Battery Management System ) are used for the Load.  Two for the Charging.
    • Hi Doc,   I just had the same happen to me on some electronics I sold on ebay for $1200 about 2 months ago. But I use the ebay and paypal shipping. It was shipped to an address in California, then rerouted to somewhere in New York. It is happening a lot now. But I shipped it with insurance, and signature confirmation through USPS. Then the buyer said their account was hacked, and filed for a refund. Paypal took the money out of my account. I then called paypal, and they said since I had a signature confirmation that I was protected, and paypal refunded my money back. Paypal told me if I did not have the signature, I would have lost the seller protection. Did you send with insurance and signature confirmation?
    • I'm afraid that is above my skill level. I wouldn't even know where to start. The low price and capacity of those batteries is attractive. The weight is 11.5 oz per cell...plus bus bars and hardware. That is maybe 50% of the weight of a conventional battery.  Figuring out a convenient way to charge them would be the key. I would like something I could just plug into a little pigtail wired into the battery pack. Like a battery tender. I had been considering a solar panel over the fuel tank in the center section to keep the battery up to snuff, but it will be inside or under a cover 95% of the time, so solar isn't making much sense at the moment. A higher capacity battery pack like those, may the most effective and lightest solution.
    • Personally , I do not think " dendrites" are that sharp and defined, but both silver and gold do form that way... I vote silver & gold in quartz
